THIMSHA YOUTH SPORTS CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect and Discipline:
- All members must show respect towards teammates, coaches, volunteers, and opponents.
- Discipline issues disrupt the team and may lead to dismissal.
Practice Requirements:
- Parents should arrive 15 minutes before practice ends for timely pickups.
- Athletes are required to participate in all warm-up and cool-down activities.
- Leaving practice early requires coach's permission.
Coaches' Decisions:
- Coaches determine athletes' event participation based on training and suitability.
- Refusal to compete as directed by a coach may lead to meet disqualification.
- Relay team selection is based on ability, sportsmanship, and teamwork, not just speed.
Sportsmanship:
- Profanity or negative behavior towards officials or peers is prohibited and may result in meet disqualification or further disciplinary actions.
- Respectful conduct and congratulating competitors are encouraged.
Safety:
- Safety checks of equipment and facilities are mandatory. Report hazards immediately.
- Drugs, alcohol, and smoking within the facility are strictly prohibited.
- Criticism should be constructive; confrontation with officials and non-constructive criticism are forbidden.
- Injured athletes must not participate further without clearance.
Purpose of the Code:
- The Code of Conduct ensures a positive, safe environment for all, fostering respect, discipline, and sportsmanship in sports and life.
By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, members commit to upholding the values and standards that define Thimsha Youth Sports, contributing to a respectful, safe, and supportive community.
